Kiddom

Planning, assessing, and analyzing made simple! Kiddom is a collaborative learning platform for teachers. It is organization at its finest for teachers. Kiddom serves as a grade book as well as a communication tool between you and your individual students. Kiddom also keeps track of the assignments for your class and the standards that those assignments address. This app makes keeping track of mastery of standards easy! Reports are generated right at your fingertips.
Negatives: Unfortunately, I have found a few things that I did not enjoy about Kiddom. The quiz option does not make the quiz for you, so when you create a quiz assignment, do not think that you can select questions or add questions to the program. The assignments are not always completed online. The video assignments are available for the students to view online, but the actual assignment that you assign will be done paper/pencil style. Also, the students must have their own email or account (username and password) on file in order for them to participate. It is not linked to your class until they enter the class code. Finally, if you manually enter students into your class, I am unsure of how they are to see the communication between the two of you because they do not have an official account.
Lesson Ideas: You can assign video lessons on this site. It has many links already pre-programmed in the app. It is a great way that students can continuously use technology every day in the classroom.
Below I have included screen shots of important features of this program that you should know about before signing up.
In this section, I have included the screen shots of the app in use on a phone. These screen shots are still from the teacher account, not the student account.
