Create presentations directly from your smartphone or tablet! HaikuDeck is an app that is designed to create presentations, but the convenient factor is that you can actually create these presentations on the go! HaikuDeck can be used through a smartphone, tablet, or on the computer and is free for most features. There are features that can only be used for the paid version. These options are creating a brand logo and adding videos or audio to your presentations.

Negatives: While there are some features that require the Pro version of HaikuDeck, most options are free. One negative that I found with using HaikuDeck was that the transition between slides was boring. It simply changed the slide and there was no way to adjust this.

Lesson Ideas: This is a great app for students to create presentations because they can use any tablet or smartphone. They can create these presentations in groups around the classroom. Also, since there are not many advanced options, younger (older elementary) students won’t get confused on what each option does. I find that if you briefly teach the students how to use it, they can come up with ways they can incorporate it into your lessons or assignments. This app is a great option for them to take control of the product in an assignment.
